Our Story
We Facilitate Safe Learning Spaces
We, Pragati and Shubham Urkude, founded Pragat Prayas Foundation in November 2022 with a simple yet powerful dream—to ensure that every child in our rural community gets the education they deserve. Coming from a farming family in Bhugaon, Maharashtra, we experienced firsthand the struggles of accessing quality education. That’s why we decided to take action and support children from underprivileged backgrounds, especially those of farmers and laborers. What started with just 17 students has now grown into a movement, reaching 47 children from Bhugaon and neighboring villages.
At Pragat Prayas Foundation, we provide free education, covering academic instruction and related expenses, for children studying in Marathi and English medium schools. Despite facing challenges and limited recognition from local authorities, we remain dedicated to bridging the gap between rural and urban education, ensuring that no child is left behind.
